Christmas in Staffordshire
Staffordshire is the perfect place for a magical Christmas, with fun for all the family.
Visit Alton Towers Resort for a festive stay with Santa, enjoy the Christmas Wonderland at Drayton Manor, or experience real snow at the SnowDome.
There are plenty of pantomimes across the county, including The Three Musketeers in Newcastle and Jack and the Beanstalk in Lichfield and Stafford.
For festive shopping, visit Christmas markets in Newcastle, Weston Park, or at the World of Wedgwood. You can also enjoy the Winter Light Trail at Trentham Gardens or shop at McArthur Glen Designer Outlet.
Other festive events include a colourful light trail at the National Memorial Arboretum and a Christmas Light Show at Lichfield Cathedral. At Lower Drayton Farm near Stafford, visitors can enjoy Jingle Ville, where mischievous elves guide you through a magical festive experience.
Find your nearest Christmas event on Enjoy Staffordshire’s website.
Partnership updates
FREE personal safety alarms for an extra layer of security this winter
We’re running our ‘Extra Layer’ campaign again this year with the South Staffordshire Community Safety Partnership.
Getting all your Christmas shopping done in time can be stressful enough. Let us take one worry off your list while you’re out and about this winter with a FREE personal safety alarm.
You can collect your alarm from Codsall Community Hub, Wolverhampton Road, WV8 1PX up to Monday, December 23rd, between 9am and 5pm (or you can contact your local parish council).
Staffordshire fire safety campaign
Staffordshire Fire & Rescue Service are launching our Buy Safe, Charge Safe campaign again as part of wider efforts to limit the chances of accidental lithium-ion battery fires from happening in Staffordshire.
E-bikes, e-scooters, mobile phones, laptops and other electronic devices are all powered by lithium-ion batteries. Counterfeit batteries and chargers are significant fire safety hazards and are likely sitting in most people’s homes, or being wrapped up as gifts for Christmas.
If they catch fire or overheat significantly, they can cause widespread damage and are incredibly difficult to contain. These fires can happen because of manufacturing defects or owner negligence.
