Reminder: Partnership updates
FREE personal safety alarms for an extra layer of security this winter
We’re running our ‘Extra Layer’ campaign again this year with the South Staffordshire Community Safety Partnership.
Getting all your Christmas shopping done in time can be stressful enough. Let us take one worry off your list while you’re out and about this winter with a FREE personal safety alarm.
You can collect your alarm from Codsall Community Hub, Wolverhampton Road, WV8 1PX up to Monday, December 23rd, between 9am and 5pm (or you can contact your local parish council).
Be Sure You’re Secure campaign
Staffordshire Police are urging residents to ensure their homes are as secure as possible this winter through our latest crime prevention campaign, with figures showing that burglary rates rise significantly as the nights draw in.
‘Be Sure You’re Secure’ aims to provide residents, drivers and couriers with safety advice on how to keep their home, vehicles and belongings secure in the run up to Christmas.
Force burglary lead, Detective Chief Inspector, Adam Yates, explains: “So please remain vigilant and report any suspicious behaviour to us; from strangers being seen frequently on doorbell footage or CCTV, to vehicles you don’t recognise driving up and down roads repeatedly.”
We continue to work hard to tackle burglary throughout the year.
