Annual Canvass reminder: Please respond now
Our Annual Canvass is currently underway across South Staffordshire.
Many households will have received an email, letter or canvass form asking them to check the information held for their address. The Annual Canvass keeps the electoral register accurate and up to date, while giving residents the opportunity to register to vote.
If residents receive a canvass communication, they should carefully check the details and follow the instructions provided. Responses can usually be completed quickly online or by telephone using the information contained in their communication.

Littering in South Staffordshire – what do you think?
Discarded litter can make the great outdoors appear scruffy and uncared for. Research has shown that the presence of discarded litter can make areas feel less safe and may contribute to further antisocial behaviour and environmental crime.
Tackling dropped litter takes time, effort, and money. The council spends a great deal of time litter picking our district, as do a great number of residents who regularly spend their time litter picking in their local communities.
We would like to hear your views and experiences of littering. Please complete our short questionnaire and tell us what you think about littering, those who are responsible, and what should be done about it. Your responses will remain confidential, and one respondent will be selected at random to receive a £50 Amazon voucher.

Support for our Armed Forces and Veterans
South Staffordshire Council is proud to support The Staffordshire Armed Forces Covenant. The Armed Forces Covenant is a promise by the nation that those who serve or who have served in the armed forces, along with their families, should be treated fairly.
It is a promise that they should not be disadvantaged because of their service and acts as recognition of the sacrifices members of the armed forces make on our behalf.
Since its launch in 2012, the Armed Forces Covenant has been signed by every council in the country, along with over 3,000 businesses and other organisations.
South Staffordshire Council is a bronze member and offer our armed forces and veterans a wide range of support.
