All persons attending this meeting are hereby notified that this meeting will be recorded by the Parish Council to assist the Parish Clerk in the compilation of minutes. The recording will be deleted once the minutes have been approved.
HR01/21 – To receive apologies for absence
HR02/21 – Declaration of Disclosable Pecuniary and other Interests and dispensation requests
HR03/21 – To approve the minutes from HR Committee meeting held on 7th September 2021
HR04/21 – To review employee contract and job description of all staff members. Taking into account the following:
- Hourly rate
- Differentiation of contracts
- Spinal Column Points
HR05/21 – Staff Training update
HR06/21 – Health & Safety update
HR07/21 – Vacancy – Relief Caretaker – To discuss the appointment
To agree the following:
- Rate of pay
- Timescale for advertising

HR01/21 – APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE
Apologies received and accepted from Cllr AA Bourke
HR02/21 – DECLARATION OF DISCLOSABLE PECUNIARY AND OTHER INTERESTS
No declarations of disclosable pecuniary and other interests received.
Resolved that the minutes of the HR Committee meeting held on 7th September 2021, previously distributed, were a true and correct record and signed by the Chairman.
HR04/21 – EMPLOYEE CONTRACTS AND JOB DESCRIPTIONS
Employee contracts and job descriptions of all staff members were reviewed. They were all compared for either parity or differential. Comments were discussed and noted for all job descriptions. Resolved the next stage will be reviewing of contracts and pay scales. NALC should provide updates on employment law.
HR05/21 – STAFF TRAINING
Resolved All staff, except one have met with the Chairman of the HR Committee and clerk to explain the handbook and employee code of conduct. One member of staff will have the opportunity to meet with the chairman at a later date.
HR06/21 – HEALTH & SAFETY
This is ongoing. Staffordshire County Council will be completing their audit on 14th April. Resolved to wait until the report is back before any further discussion.
HR07/21 – VACANY – RELIEF CARETAKER
There was some concern with zero hours contracts and the implication it can have on employment rights. Resolved to consider further when additional weekend hirer information is available.
HR08/21 – DATE AND TIME OF NEXT MEETING
Wednesday 1st June 2022 at 7pm.
