Now out: Brand-new Review Magazine
The latest edition of our Review Magazine is now live, featuring a range of updates, information and news for South Staffordshire.
This newly-published edition of the residents’ magazine gives details on what residents, businesses and groups in the district can do to help shape the future of Staffordshire’s councils by having their say on the proposals submitted to Government.
It also includes information on a new recycling service coming to South Staffordshire, plus details of how new digital enhancements will make it easier than ever to access council services at a time most convenient to them.
The new Review also gives information on what we have done to boost the district and its communities, how we are helping residents to lower their energy bills and reduce their carbon footprint, an introduction from South Staffordshire’s new Temporary Chief Inspector, plus much more.

£1,000 grants to keep residents active for longer
New funding aiming to keep residents active and independent for longer in later life has been launched in South Staffordshire.
Community groups across the district will have the opportunity to apply for funding of up to £1,000 to support projects that help those aged 65-plus stay well, connected, and active.
The Local Improvement Framework funding, facilitated by South Staffordshire Council, seeks to prevent falls and frailty as residents age, ensuring support is available early on, before physical issues and isolation become harder to manage.

Take 15-minutes to protect your family from fire
Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service now offers an online Home Fire Safety Check, allowing you to complete a short assessment at home to help keep your household safe from fire risks.
The online survey only takes about 15-minutes to complete, around the same time as loading the dishwasher, sorting the laundry or changing your bedding, and could help prevent a fire in your home.
The check is interactive and has practical advice focused on real-life situations that are tailored to each individual home.
It is completely free and the reassurance that your home is safe is priceless.
If you’re identified as high risk, you’ll be referred for a Home Fire Safety Visit, where a technician will assess your home, offer a personalised safety plan, and fit free smoke alarms and heat detectors if needed.
Don’t delay, get peace of mind for your family today.
