It’s an exciting first week back in 2022 for Codsall Community Hub with the pitter patter of tiny footsteps at the newly-opened Codsall Community Nursery.
The nursery will now be open all year round, from 8am – 6pm.

“We offer a full day care service, including breakfast, lunch and light tea, a full Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum, visits to the local library and walks within our local community. Your child will be safe, loved and well cared for.”

Waste and recycling updates
Bin collection calendars
A new printed calendar will be issued in Spring 2022 to include information on the new blue bags for recycling card and paper.
In the meantime, bin collection dates can be viewed on our website. Simply pop in your postcode and select your address from the drop-down menu.
A downloadable, print friendly calendar is also available online. Follow the same process as above and scroll down the page to your downloadable calendar.
Please note there are no changes to your bin collection day or pattern to be aware of in this interim calendar. You can continue to present your bins on your normal collection day, in the normal pattern. |

A big thank you
South Staffordshire leisure centres provided children’s activity camps from December 20 to 23, with free places available to families in receipt of free school meals – thanks to funding from the South Staffordshire Holiday Activities and Food Scheme.
The funding gave children free access to activities and a free healthy hot meal each day.
We would like to thank The Springhill in Lower Penn and The Kitchen in Bilbrook for their ongoing support in providing and delivering food parcels to Wombourne and Codsall Leisure Centres.
At the last activity camp before Christmas, delighted children in Codsall were given free selection boxes as a donation from Bilbrook Initiatives Hub. We would like to thank everyone involved in the BIH community for the kind donations.
South Staffordshire Council leisure centres will continue to offer activity camps throughout the children’s school holidays and it’s hoped that we can continue to work with local businesses and continue to increase access to sports activities for local children. |

Intellectual Property Office issues top tips to stay safe online

- Your instincts – always trust your instincts – does the item on offer look and feel like an authentic product?
- Safety markings – do items, especially toys, have EU and UK safety markings?
