Waste Collection Service update
As you will no doubt be aware, our waste collection service has been impacted in recent months by both Covid and the national driver shortage.
We thank you all for your patience and understanding whilst we navigated our way through these challenges.
As we return to something closer to normal, from next Monday, February 7, if we do miss your bin collection, please report it to us by the end of the following working day on 01902 696000. |
Wombourne Enterprise Park
Activity has now started at Wombourne Enterprise Park following the handover of the site to contractors Quantum Construction last week.
Quantum has begun mobilising equipment and preparing the site for the first phase of development. Internal stripping of existing materials is now underway in addition to ground and site investigations.
The redevelopment scheme will see Lidl taking a large retail unit, planned for completion early 2023.
A second retail unit will also be constructed and discussions are ongoing with prospective occupiers.
Additional industrial units will be constructed by Spring/Summer 2022 and will be occupied by two of the Enterprise Park’s existing tenants who will relocate to the new units. |

What’s on at Baggeridge
Bird ringing
Baggeridge has a bird ringing demonstration on Sunday, February 27, from 8am to 10am, led by West Midlands Ringing Group.
Bird-ringing involves catching birds, securing a small metal ring around one of their legs, and ideally recording the bird’s species, age, sex, wing length and weight. Rings have a reference code inscribed on them that allows that particular bird to be uniquely identified if it is caught again in the future. |
