Celebrating Differences: Supporting positive change for people with autism and learning disabilities
Staffordshire County Council and the county’s health system are looking for examples to celebrate where local shops or venues have made changes to help anyone with hidden disabilities such as autism, ADHD, dyspraxia, and dyslexia.
It might be finding a quiet time or area, giving you time to process information or helping you with instructions.
Tell the campaign about how local amenities are supporting hidden disabilities, giving details of the organisation name, location, and how they helped here
Let’s spread the word and make our communities accessible for everyone.
Living alone?
People who live alone are nearly four times more likely to die or be seriously injured in a fire.
In the past five years alone there have been 741 accidental house fires in properties where the occupier lived alone and was aged 45 plus. Sadly 13 of these fires proved fatal.
Check your home and routine to make yourself safer.
