| Due to the extreme heat warning in place this week, we are temporarily changing our waste collection times to help protect our crews while they continue to deliver this essential service.
From Tuesday, 23rd June, bin collections will start earlier, from 6am, for the remainder of the week. This is to avoid crews working during the hottest part of the day.
We kindly ask that you:
- Present your bin at the kerbside by 6am on your scheduled collection day
- Leave your bin out if it has not been emptied, as crews will return as soon as possible
To support staff welfare, our crews have been provided with summer safety equipment, including sunscreen and water, and will be encouraged to take regular breaks out of the sun.
We are sure you will appreciate the importance of protecting our collection crews during these exceptional weather conditions.
We would also be grateful if you could share this message with friends, family or neighbours who may not have access to email or social media.
