This residents’ magazine also provides details on the latest news from South Staffordshire Council, information about a series of features highlighting the wide range of attractions and little-known history facts from our range of vibrant villages, and tips on mitigating the effects of climate change through small changes.
The latest edition features information ahead of the upcoming Police, Fire, and Crime Commissioner election too, plus updates from our environmental health, leisure, planning, and business teams – and more.

Commemorating the Holocaust
Several cabinet members and councillors from South Staffordshire Council attended a tree planting ceremony to mark Holocaust Memorial Day.
The event took place near Market Lane, Lower Penn, where those in attendance planted six oak trees in commemoration of the six million people who died during the Holocaust.
The poem “Never Shall I Forget” by Elie Wiesel, was also read out at the ceremony.
Those in attendance included, Leader of the Council, Councillor Roger Lees BEM, Deputy Leader, Councillor Victoria Wilson and Chairman, Councillor Meg Barrow.

Leisure centre activities for children and young people
South Staffordshire Council’s leisure centres provide a range of activities and schemes for young people which are available all year round.
The leisure centres run ‘Active Youth’ sessions. These are supervised gym sessions for young people aged 13 years+.
The leisure centres are also offering students and apprentices discounted memberships packages.
