Annual Billing 2025 administration and customer experience success
Welfare Services reviewed, administered, produced, and delivered over 49,000 council tax bills, 2,992 council tax support claims, 137 housing benefits claims and 2,256 collective council tax support and housing benefit letters across our district in March.
The website pages were super busy and received great feedback including the welcome launch of our NEW benefits calculator, showcasing several benefits to support with cost-of-living, and the ease of accessing My Login and our online forms.
The team delivered our customer promise, managing 1,882 calls, with an average wait time of 21 seconds and no calls waiting over 11 minutes. We also supported our vulnerable customers with a walk in service that was welcomed by many of our residents.
The good news didn’t stop there, paperless billing signups increased, direct debits remained stable at 76%, and no complaints were received regarding the customers experience.
Congratulations to all in welfare services and thank you for the support of Karen Hill and the customer services team. |

Temporary Pool Programme at Wombourne Leisure Centre
Wombourne Leisure Centre is currently operating a temporary swimming timetable to comply with health and safety guidelines and lifeguard-to-bather ratios.
The leisure centre is actively recruiting additional staff and doing their utmost to minimise impact.
During the early bird adult sessions, while the reduced sessions are in place, the leisure centre asks that customers attend only one of the early bird sessions to allow others to attend the second session.
The leisure centre aims to revert to the normal programme as soon as possible. Thank you in advance for your continued support and patience.
